The schefflera Amate is not called an umbrella tree without reason - the playful and inspiring leaves unfold like a stunning umbrella. In fact, this plant can be used in a wide variety of settings. It can be used to create a great social atmosphere as a conversation starter. You can almost sense how children will be attracted to the delicate leaves - thinking perhaps that they could build a cave under the protective covering of the leaves - and it's undoubtedly insanely decorative. It is easy to care for and wonderfully grateful. It would prefer to be in direct sunlight and watered about every two weeks or so, depending on how warm it is. If it's placed on heated floors, it'll need a little extra water, or maybe even to be placed a little higher instead.
