The Calathea family is very wide and is characterised by its unique, patterned foliage. For us, the calathea is a must-have in the home, because it is a source of great mental inspiration: the special thing about the calathea is that the leaves fold up after sunset and then at sunrise the leaves unfold again. We find it very inspiring that even plants have an inner cycle that follows the clock. It reminds us humans that during the day, our needs and energy levels change and that our surpluses can turn into deficits at the blink of an eye.
