Sedum Spectable is probably the most underrated perennial! It can take all kinds of abuse from lack of watering - it emerges early! It gets beautiful tones in autumn - so it is interesting for a long time. Some might say it's a bit grandmotherly. I can't remember why - maybe it's the way it was put in the old days. But nowadays you can put it very successfully in the edges of beds and several in pots - then they become a sort of St. John's wort installation that can really become very beautiful. You NEVER regret getting sedum, because there's something you just CAN'T kill!! And then spectable brilliant is an award winner because it's extra special. Oh well. Heart heart.
